Welcome Brothers and Sisters in Christ

St. John’s is a church which has deep roots here in Switzer, and has always been to be a vital center for the community. Beginning in 1827 as an Evangelical Congregation, an itinerant preacher visited the Swiss families who had settled there, then over the years and many changes, the United Church of Christ was formed. While we maintain our tradition and doctrine, we welcome all who will join with us.  We reflect our openness in our Worship Life, Learning Community, and in the way we embrace the larger work of Christ. We participate in the worldwide endeavors of the United Church of Christ and the many worthwhile endeavors of the local area. We hope all those searching for meaning will join with us in experiencing and sharing God’s great and loving presence.
